Matt Hastings

Matt Hastings has been a member of Berkeley Rotary since November 15, 2021. A former volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, he joined Rotary to reengage in community service.

Matt has a BA in Economics with a Business Emphasis from the University of Colorado Boulder. He began his career in sales with a liquor distributor but found his passion in selling commercial real estate. After suffering a traumatic spine injury and being out of work for almost two years, Matt bought a small business serving the moving industry and then took a sales job in the same industry. Always wanting to get back to real estate, he took a leap and opened a property management company that serves the local market.

Matt grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and now lives in Lafayette, CA, with his wife, son, dog, and parents (who moved into his in-law unit). He enjoys sports and coached high school lacrosse after college and his son’s teams when he was growing up. Matt’s hobbies include kayaking, mountaineering, and woodturning.
